Cheer up Jacksonville Jaguar fans (all 5 of you!) and Maurice Jones-Drew fantasy owners! MJD does not have the dreaded, season ending Lisfranc injury, but instead has only a foot sprain. Rather than missing all of the rest of this season, he’ll only miss a few weeks.
For you fantasy owners, you can pick up Rashad Jennings as his back up, but coming out of Jacksonville, we don’t know how much that will actually help you.

Out for the Season
Is this it for the Ravens linebacker and leader?

"Trust me when I say that I’ll be back better than ever next year; but in the meantime, I want to thank my teammates, coaches, and you fans for all the amazing love and support.
Oh, and WE are STILL winning THIS year’s Super Bowl.”
- Houston Texans LB Brian Cushing's first comments after being sidelined the rest of the season by a (questionable) hit in Monday night’s game versus the NY Jets.
Balled too Hard
There is a report out that the reigning defensive player of the year, Terrell Suggs, has torn his Achilles tendon. An injury of that magnitude would likely force him to miss the entirety of the season.
You guys, Chris Kuper had a bad day.
Is this a photo of Adrian Peterson reacting to his torn ACL injury or the cover of his latest album of soul songs (that Pitchfork recently gave a 7.3)?

“He’s out, of course, the rest of this year. But just looking to the future, it looks bright for him, of course, to play and to get back out there, so we’re encouraged by that.”
- Lovie Smith on Bears WR Johnny Knox
Here’s to a speedy recovery.
"It feels like my ankle is about to explode."
Yeah, ditto on what Los said.
Sorry everyone. The Kevin Smith party is over.
Houston Texans' QB Matt Schaub has officially been put on the Injured Reserve list, thus ending his season.
"What happens now?" you ask.
Welp, enter Matt Leinart to start for the Texans and ex-Jets QB Kellen Clemens (who was just signed) to back him up.
This couldn’t have happened at a luckier time for the Texans, with the AFC South in disarray. No Peyton in Indy. No CJ in Tennessee. When the Jacksonville Jaguars are your toughest division rival, a light has shone on your season.

Report: Jay Cutler has a broken thumb on his throwing hand.
The Bears are quiet on the injury at the moment, so details are scarce, as is whether he will miss the rest of the season or no games at all.
Either way, it happened during the game and he still played all 4 quarters. The young man is capable of playing through pain.
Update: It looks like he’s gonna miss 6-8 weeks.
